About Nordale Delights
Nordale Delights was started in July 2018 as an online shop selling giftware products. The following year it had a small area within one of Wakefield’s most popular cafe’s, “Al’s Tea & Coffee Shop”, selling a select range of products. Jump forward to November 2021 and a move to The Ridings for their Christmas Fayre proved to be very popular and, due to the success, stayed on the top mall as an “on-the-mall” popup with an increased range including Incense sticks and accessories.
In July 2023, Nordale Delights moved to the lower mall outside Morrisons which proved to be very good and when Transform Images relocated upstairs a few months later, Nordale Delights moved in and finally had a proper shop which opened in early November.
About the owner
Hello, my name is Gavin and I am the proud owner of Nordale Delights.
My first proper job was at Tong Garden Centre near Bradford. I worked in the plant department working my way up to eventually becoming the manager of the department. After 17 years, I left and went to Victoria Garden Centre near Pontefract where I stayed for 8 years. I then did something a bit different working for an online retailer selling household and garden products. In early 2018, after been made redundant, I decided to start up my own business and in July 2018, Nordale Delights was founded.
